My Healthy Thriving Day

There are so many things distracting us from living truly happy lives today. Social Media, TV, and things like others' opinions of us can hold us back, distract us, and prevent us from living a great life. That is why I believe it is super important to have a structure and routine in your day, even if it's just little things. I found this very helpful in my life, so I thought I'd share mine, in the hopes that you find some value in it as well in your life:

1. Wake up early: It doesn't have to be super early, just early enough so that you aren't rushing through the morning to get ready.

2. Have some sort of routine: I think it is very helpful to have a consistent morning routine. It can be anything. Meditation really helps me. But it can be as simple as playing with your kids or your grandkids, or even a cup of coffee with a loved one. Plan out your morning the night before, and set out your coffee, your water, lunch for the day, and even your clothes. This all helps to be able to enjoy a rush-free morning.

3. Move: I think this goes without saying. This can be done in the morning or any other time in the day. But moving gives us health, energy, and allows us to thrive in our lives.

4. Eat a healthy diet: There are so many diets out there, but overall, it is important to follow some sort of eating plan. It can be as simple as eating real, non-processed foods, avoiding added sugar, and eating normal-sized portions. Of course, enjoy the foods you love as well, just in moderation

5. Get your work done: Whether you work for yourself, for someone else, or if you're happily retired, it's important to make some sort of progress every day, it helps us feel better about ourselves, and to feel accomplished in our day. Plus, it makes enjoying life easier too.

6. Spend time with your loved ones: These can be your partner, your family, friends, neighbors, but as social creatures, it is important for us to spend time with people and laugh and enjoy that connection.

7 Get good sleep: This one goes without saying, but getting good sleep is crucial for health. It helps manage anxiety, help with stress, recovery, and helps us manage our lives calmer and more enjoyably

If you don't follow all of these, try some. Pick things that work for you. But I hope this helps you in your life to have healthy thriving days.

Sincerely,

- My Healthy Thriving Life
